7 herbs for curing malaria

In the Western world, malaria is a feared disease but in Africa, Ghana to be precise, it is quite the opposite; it is not that feared by many. This is as a result of the availability of several herbs that are very efficient as a far as curing of malaria is concerned.

Most Ghanaians including myself, have had malaria more than ten times in our lives already. Even though it is dangerous, we are not afraid to have it again because malaria can be easily cured in Ghana in just a matter of days of continuous intake of herbal medicines.

Here are some home remedies for malaria:

1. Neem leaves.

The antifungal, antibacterial and antiviral properties of neem makes it perfect for getting rid or curing numerous diseases including malaria.

To treat malaria with neem, get the leaves, blend them to get a fine paste. Add water and stir. Sieve it to get a green juice. Now drink it. Even though it is hard to drink because it is bitter, it is worth it.

You can also simply pour water on the neem leaves, boil them for a few minutes and drink it.

Note: neem is generally bitter so do not complain at all.

2. Lemon grass.

Lemon grass is one of the best herbs for getting rid of malaria. Prepare a lemon grass tea by putting the grass in a pan. Cut lemon or lime into two equal parts and add them to it. Add considerable amount of water and boil it for some minutes depending on the quantity.

You can have it in the morning, afternoon and evening.

3. Moringa.

The moringa leaves together with lime is what my mom used ones to treat my malaria when I was very sick .

This is how you do it: crush or grind the moringa leaves and add water to it.

Sieve it. Cut the lime or lemon and squeez the juice into the sieved solution.

Now, drink it.

4. Pawpaw or papaya leaf.

Get pawpaw leaves, wash them thoroughly to make sure they are clean and free from any bacteria.

Now grind them into a fine paste.

Add water and sieve it to obtain a greenish solution.

You can drink it in anytime of the day.

5. Bitter leaf.

Bitter leaf is known to contain great amount of quinine. Quinine is a very fine malaria elimination compound. It cures malaria as soon it is assimilated into the system of the body.

Get a few bitter leaves and wash them carefully.

Crush or grind them to get the juice. Add a little water to the juice and drink.

6. Garlic.

Garlic oil contains a compound known as allicin. Allicin is an effective antimicrobial compound that prevents certain parasites from causing harm to the red blood cells.

 7. Acacia leaf plus mango leaf.

Get equal quantity of acacia and mango leaves. Wash them properly with clean water. Pour a considerable amount of water in. Cut a lime or lemon and drop it in. Boil the whole mixture for some time. You can take it in the morning, afternoon and evening.

Bonus tip: most Ghanaians prevent or get rid of malaria by drinking Lipton mixed with lemon or lime juice.
